Matthew J. Olsen is currently associate producer on the top-rated daytime drama The Young and the Restless, active in publicity, marketing, production, accounting/finance and the development of new media content. He oversees all Y&R Daytime Emmy submissions, the production of show-related Daytime Emmy telecast content and is extremely fluent in the Daytime Emmy Awards process. He has worked on the Sony Pictures Television production for 12 years, beginning in 1998 as an executive assistant, then promoted in 2001 to production office manager.

He has worked on the Sony Pictures Television production for 12 years, beginning in 1998 as an executive assistant, then promoted in 2001 to production office manager. Prior to joining Y&R, he worked at CBS Television City in the stage operations department, having involvement in every show that was produced in the building, including game shows and talk shows. He also has an extensive background in theater arts, including performing, producing, directing, stage management and lighting design.

For the Television Academy he is currently co-chair of the Daytime Awards Committee and serves on the Daytime Programming Peer Group Executive Committee, Activities Committee, Budget Review Committee and Membership Committee. He has also served as a host for the Television Academy Foundation Internship Program. A Southern California native, he presently resides in Los Angeles.
