5 Things You Didn't Know About Camila Morrone

The Emmy-nominated Daisy Jones & the Six star is one to watch.

Earlier this year, Camila Morrone wowed audiences with her Emmy-nominated portrayal of Camila Dunne in Prime Video’s musical drama, Daisy Jones & the Six. The Prime Video series provides Morrone with both a literal and figurative stage to showcase her craft, which she has been practicing since her acting debut at 15 in the 2013 biopic, Bukowski. From there, the actor appeared opposite Bruce Willis in the 2018 remake of Death Wish, which led to a role in the 2020 musical adaptation of the '80s cult film, Valley Girl.

Morrone recently sat down with us to share five things you may not know, but should, about this rising talent.

1. She’s a linguaphile

Having grown up in a Spanish-speaking household in Los Angeles, Morrone is bilingual — fluent in both Spanish and English. She is currently mastering French and ramping up her Italian.

2. One singer she has on repeat is...

Spanish singer Rosalía, who is known for her unique pop-meets-flamenco-style tunes.

3. If Morrone had to choose a profession other than acting...

“I would love to be a singer," she says. "And be able to perform and connect with people in the way only a musician can.”

4. The one thing she likes to have with her on set at all times is...

Headphones.

5. Her approach to "getting into character" is a musical one.

Morrone enjoys making in-character playlists for different scenes, songs that corrolate to what she feels her character would listen to given the circumstances or story they find themselves in.

This interview has been edited for length and clarity.
