Renato Basile to Produce; Danette Herman to Serve As
Coordinating Producer and Executive in Charge of Talent

Telecast Airs Live Sunday, Sept. 16, on FOX


North Hollywood, CA, July 10, 2007 Renato Basile will return as Producer and Danette Herman will return as Coordinating Producer and Executive in Charge of Talent at the 59TH Primetime Emmy Awards, executive producer Ken Ehrlich announced today. The show will air Sunday, Sept. 16 (8:00-11:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX

"Ron and Danette each bring their own creativity, expertise and experience as well as a refreshing openness to new ideas, and I’m thrilled to have them both back on our team for this year’s Emmy show,” said Ehrlich, who himself returns for the fourth time to the Emmy broadcast.
 
Producer Renato Basile has worked for Ken Ehrlich Productions since 1988 as producer, associate producer and executive in charge of production.  His credits include 17 Grammy Awards, event specials including “The Adventures of Mimi: Mariah Carey Tour,” “ Music Rising: The Super Dome Re-Opening with U2 and Greenday,” “Come Together:  A Night for John Lennon,” “Countdown to Kickoff: The NFL Times Square Concert.”

Basile has also worked on numerous television specials for artists including Celine Dion, Ricky Martin, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Elton John, Patti LaBelle, Bon Jovi, Simon and Garfunkel, as well as the “Eagles Farewell 1 Live” special.  This will be his third Emmy Awards production.

As Co-Producer, coordinating producer and executive in charge of talent, Danette Herman has long associations with some of television’s biggest productions.  This will be her 19th year as
part of the
59TH Primetime Emmy Awards production team.  She recently completed the “79th Annual Academy Awards” telecast, her 32nd non-consecutive show, and her 29th year with The Kennedy Center Honors.

Herman, who was nominated for an Emmy Award for “Christopher Reeve: A Celebration of Hope," just completed “Celebration at Ford’s Theater” and The Iconoclast Series.

The
59TH Primetime Emmy Awards is being produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures LLC.

Nominations for the 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be announced Thursday, July 19, at 5:35 AM PT from the Television Academy’s Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood.
