Architectural Digest Greenroom
Architectural Digest has partnered with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for the second year to create an Architectural Digest greenroom for the 55th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. "We are delighted to once again be partnered with Architectural Digest for the Primetime Emmy Awards," said Academy President Todd Leavitt, who announced the collaboration with Amy R.Churgin, vice president and publisher of Architectural Digest. "Being associated with a brand such as Architectural Digest compliments the prestige of the Primetime Emmys and provides our talent with a luxury experience behind the scenes befitting of such an event." Architect Hermes Mallea and interior designer Carey Maloney of the highly acclaimed M(Group) will design and build the celebrity greenroom backstage at the Shrine Auditorium. The room where celebrity presenters prepare before entering the stage will include design elements such as shimmering grass cloth, mirrored panels and silver tea paper to reflect the light, and a color palette featuring colors of the seashore blues, grays and silver. Design collaboration from companies such as Darius, Christies, Old World Weavers Fabrics and Bang & Olufsen complete the room's decor. "The design of the Architectural Digest greenroom at this years Emmys is inspired by a Parisian salon in the time of Napoleon IIIwe love the wit and opulence," said M(Groups) Mallea and Maloney. "Our goal is to capture the celebratory mood of the Emmys with an elegant, refined space that allows celebrities a moment to relax and prepare for the stage," Hermes Mallea and Carey Maloney of M(Group) design residential and commercial projects that integrate architecture and decoration.
