Television Academy Chairman Names New Executive Committee Appointees

Expanding Academy's Service to Its Members and the Industry

Bruce Rosenblum, chairman and CEO of the Television Academy has named five "visionary" industry leaders to the Executive Committee of the Television Academy.

These executives will work alongside the Television Academy's officers and Board of Governors to guide and shape the direction of the Academy.

"Each of these visionary executives brings an unparalleled breadth of experience and a unique perspective on our business to the Executive Committee," said Rosenblum. "We are in the midst of a world that is rapidly evolving across so many platforms, and this group will be pivotal in helping us expand the ways we serve our members and the industry."

Rosenblum's appointees are:

  • Bela Bajaria, executive vice president Universal Television
  • David Nevins, president Showtime Networks Inc.
  • Roy Price, head of Amazon Studios
  • Kevin Reilly, president of TBS and TNT and Chief Creative Officer
  • Rick Rosen, board member and head of the television department at William Morris Endeavor Agency


Rosenblum said the appointees' work will help further the Academy's mission to encourage television's "unlimited potential," recognizing that the Academy is in the midst of the reinvention and upgrade of its campus, as well as a major campaign to build a significant endowment to expand the educational programs of the Academy Foundation.

Additionally, the Board of Governors has elected their appointees to the Executive Committee. They include: Bob Bergen (performers peer group governor), Allison Binder (professional representatives peer group governor), Sharon Lieblein (casting directors peer group governor), and Seth Shapiro (interactive media peer group governor, new to the EC).
