Contest Winner Lisa Murray Wins Dream Trip to the Emmys

Los Angeles, CA – With hordes of press milling about the Shrine this morning and Television Academy dignitaries preparing for TV's big night, one fan in a million found herself lucky enough to be in this Hollywood mix.

Lisa Murray of Scottsdale, Arizona, just won the national Caress Confidante contest, held by Entertainment Tonight and sponsored by Caress skincare products, and is now in Los Angeles prepping for her once-in-lifetime chance to walk the red carpet with Hollywood celebs.

"Being named the Caress Confidante has made my Hollywood dream a reality," Murray said. As the first Caress Confidante, Murray will live the life of a Hollywood star for the week.

Murray has a room at a tony Beverly Hills hotel, a limousine at her disposal, Hollywood stylists tending to all she needs to be red-carpet ready and will be a VIP guest at star-studded Emmy events this Sunday—including the Entertainment Tonight/People Magazine Emmy party. She even got a sneak peek at the behind-the-scenes preparations for the big show.

Caress' golden girl submitted her two-minute video entry after seeing a promotion for the contest on Entertainment Tonight in June. Her submission, in which Murray answered questions such as "What makes you a confident woman?" and more, was picked out of hundreds by Hollywood casting directors as one of five finalists.  The five aired on Entertainment Tonight in August.  Then, looking for "the woman with the style, confidence and radiant skin," a panel of celebrity judges chose Murray as the winner on Sept. 26.

Murray sparkled with excitement at the Shrine Auditorium today, watching the busy production team roll out the red carpet, erect the stage set, buff the Architectural Digest celebrity green room to an engaging postmodern glow and more.

She took a seat in the Shrine's main auditorium, looking about at seating guide cards whose celebrity photos and names told you which-famous-face-would-soon-sit-where. And if for that moment, Murray felt like she must be dreaming and this Emmy experience cannot be real?  American Idol contestant-turned-pop superstar Clay Aiken walked by, all smiles, with the crew from ET's The Insider. Now there's a guy who can vouch with Caress Confidante Murray that some Hollywood dreams really do come true.    - Juliana Bolden
