This call for entries is being sent to members of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Interactive Media Peer Group and members of the television and interactive media community at large. The Interactive Media Primetime Emmy® Award honors an interactive media program, or series commercially deployed domestically in the period of June 1, 2007 – May 31, 2008 that demonstrates outstanding creative achievement in interactive media for a fiction or non-fiction based program or series. One, more than one, or no Primetime Emmy® statuette will be awarded to the individual(s), company or partnership of companies directly involved with and principally responsible for the recognized interactive media program or series.
This Primetime Emmy® Award celebrates the original or daring leap forward, the visionary approach to engaging and entertaining viewers that inspires future efforts of interactive media producers and illuminates the creative possibilities of interactive media for members of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Acknowledging that audiences increasingly demand interactive, cross-media content and features that provide entertainment, enhanced access to information, and opportunities for participation and community engagement, the Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media identifies the best interactive media program or series produced during the eligibility year.
