The Foundation addresses a variety of issues, such as career guidance and student achievement. Our programs foster
personal skill development, address diversity and document the evolution of television and digital media.
A non-profit organization, our primary focus is to use the history and artistry of television to preserve our past for posterity, and guide those who will be our future.
Archive of American Television
The Archive of American Television strives to preserve the rich history of television.
We educate and inspire future generations by videotaping interviews with the legends and pioneers of the medium. The Television Archive's video library has amassed more than 500 interviews to date.
Thanks to its partnership with Google® Video, you may watch many Television Archive selections for free in their entirety on the web.
Education Programs
The Education Programs Department of the Television Academy Foundation extends informational opportunities to our members, the telecommunications community and community at large.
Education Programs offers enrichment opportunities or college students and professors, such as our renowned Television Academy Foundation Summer Internship Program.
Our internship program alums regularly go on to work in all facets of our industry.
The Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, in association with Ernst & Young LLP, has established a scholarship in honor of Fred Rogers, the creator and long-time host of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.
This scholarship is intended to support and encourage upper division or graduate students, who aspire to pursue careers in children’s media and furthers the values and principles of Fred Rogers’ work.
