the entire community by using the history and lessons of Television
to help guide those who will be responsible for the future of the
Telecommunications Industry.
There are a number of ways to make a contribution:
Make a donation by going in our secure online site. Please click here to make a donation online.
For income tax purposes, your gift or pledge payments are tax
deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Gifts or pledge
payments may be made by cash, check, or credit card.
Pledges may be made to the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences
Foundation in support of current fund raising campaigns. Pledges
traditionally extend
over a two to three year period. Using a pledge form, you may
specify the length of the pledge period, the frequency of payments
and the method
of payment. Pledge payments may be paid by cash, check, credit
card or via appreciated securities.
You may achieve significant tax savings by making a gift or pledge
payment of stocks or other capital assets that have appreciated
in value.
Many corporations will match employee donations. Matching gifts
may double or triple the amount of your gift. Check with your
company’s
human resources or community affairs office for more details.
Donors may wish to consider giving through such vehicles as life
insurance, bequests, testamentary gifts or charitable trusts.
Planned giving can be a way of reducing or avoiding estate and inheritance
taxes.
We encourage you to speak with your financial planner when
considering any type of planned giving.
We are pleased to receive gifts of certain goods or services,
which may provide a budgetary savings to the Academy of Television
Arts & Sciences
Foundation or fulfill a particular programmatic need. Since
the Academy does not assign a monetary value to gifts-in-kind,
we recommend that
you consult your tax advisor to explore the tax benefits specific
to your gift.
Contributions can be given in honor or memory of individuals.
Tribute gifts can be given to honor special occasions such
as birthdays, anniversaries and weddings, or can be given to honor the
memory of a
loved one or friend.
All contributions to the Academy of Television
Arts & Sciences Foundation are tax deductible.
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation utilizes
the resources and membership of the Television Academy to develop
and sponsor educational and archival programs addressing a
variety of issues including career guidance, student achievement,
personal skill development, diversity, and the documentation
of television’s evolution. The Foundation is a non-profit
organization with the primary focus to use the history, artistry
and resources of television to preserve our past for posterity
and to guide those who will be our future.
One of the many goals of the Foundation is to generate philanthropic
support from the community to help ensure that the programs and activities
of the Foundation will be adequately funded. Current programs supported
