Tonita Castro was a Mexican actress best known for her recurring or regular roles on TV sitcoms Go On, Kroll Show, Dads, The Sarah Silverman Program and Life in Pieces. She also appeared in the films Friends with Money, Imagine That and Judd Apatow's Funny People, starring Adam Sandler.
Castro moved from Mexico to the U.S. in the late 1970s and began her career in radio. In 2005, she transitioned into acting, and landed roles in both film and television, most often comedies.
One of her first credits was for an episode of The Shield, which she followed up with appearances on the series Life, The League, State of the Union, Glee, Dexter, Two and a Half Men, Raising Hope, Southland, Traffic Light, Awkward and The Grinder.
She landed her biggest role in 2012 on the Matthew Perry sitcom Go On, which aired for one season. The series starred Perry as a sportscaster who was forced to join a support group after the passing of his wife. Castro played Fausta, one of the group members, who was grieving the death of her father and brother.
