Phyllis Schlafly was an American constitutional lawyer and conservative activist.

She is best known for her successful campaign against the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Schlafly appeared often as herself in both films and television, including the shows Firing Line, The Mike Douglas Show, To the Contrary, Now, Real Time with Bill Maher, Book TV, Huckabee, American Experience and the 2015 miniseries The Raising of America.
