Michael Massee

Michael Massee was an actor best known for his role in The Crow, a 1994 film in which Massee accidentally fatally shot actor Brandon Lee, the son of actor and martial arts icon Bruce Lee. A prop gun had been improperly loaded and resulted in the tragic accident, which occurred at the very start of Massee’s career.

The actor took a one-year sabbatical, then went on to perform in a variety of notable roles, including parts in the films Se7en, One Fine Day, Amistad, Corky Romano, Catwoman and The Amazing Spider-Man, as well as its sequel.

Massee also appeared on the series Picket Fences, The X-Files, Murder One, Nash Bridges, 24, The Practice, Dragnet, Criminal Minds, Alias, Cold Case, Supernatural, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI:NY, House, Fringe, Rizzoli & Isles, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Ironside and The Blacklist.

He died October 20, 2016, in Los Angeles. He was 61.
