Joseph Livolsi was a special effects technician best known for his work on the blockbuster films Captain America, The Avengers and Transformers.

He also contributed to the films Minority Report, The Last Samurai, 50 First Dates, Ocean’s Twelve, Spider-Man 3, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Total Recall, Gangster Squad, The Lone Ranger, Furious 7, Ant-Man, The Fate of the Furious and three films in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise: Dead Man’s Chest, At World’s End and On Stranger Tides.

His television work included the series Leverage and The Last Man on Earth, as well as the television movie 44 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shoot-Out.

Livolsi died July 15, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia.
