Joe Esposito

Joe Esposito was Elvis Presley’s assistant, friend and road manager for nearly two decades. Esposito and Presley met in 1959, when both men were serving at an Army base in Germany.

After Presley passed away, Esposito worked as a road manager for artists including the Bee Gees and Michael Jackson.

Esposito also served as a production coordinator on the 1968 TV movie Elvis, and was a coordinator for the 1977 special Elvis in Concert.

Additionally, Esposito appeared as himself in the TV miniseries documentary Presley, the special Elvis: His Life and Times and the TV documentaries There’s Only One Elvis, Elvis Forever and Elvis: Viva Las Vegas.

Esposito died November 23, 2016, in Calabasas, California. He was 78.
