Ian Sander was a producer, director and actor who was perhaps best known for his work as an executive producer of the CBS series Ghost Whisperer, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. The show ran for five seasons, from 2005 to 2010. Additionally, Sander and his wife, Kim Moses, were partners in the production company Sander/Moses Productions. As a duo they also were executive producers of the NBC series Profiler.

Sander was nominated for three Emmy Awards for the NBC telefilm/drama series I’ll Fly Away, starring Sam Waterston as a southern lawyer in the late 1950s. Sander was also a producer on the series Equal Justice and he directed episodes of Profiler, Ghost Whisperer, Equal Justice and Reckless.

In the feature film world, he was a producer of the 1988 Dennis Quaid movies D.O.A. and Everybody’s All American.

Sander attended the University of Southern California (where he later taught classes) before launching a career as an actor. He earned his first credit in the 1970 film Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. Small roles followed in the series Mod Squad, Medical Center, Ironside, Baretta, The Rookies and The Rockford Files. He also appeared on stage in the 1971 Broadway play No Place to Be Somebody.
