Bruce MacCallum was a veteran camera operator best known for his work on the feature films Witness and The Silence of the Lambs.

MacCallum worked extensively in film, serving as a camera operator on the movies All That Jazz, Raging Bull, Easy Money, Wise Guys, Heartburn, Married to the Mob, Ghostbusters II, Philadelphia, Independence Day, Ransom, The Crucible, Picture Perfect, 200 Cigarettes, Sleepy Hollow, Center Stage, Meet the Parents, Zoolander, Anger Management, School of Rock, Cold Mountain, The Stepford Wives, The Terminal, Across the Universe, I Am Legend, Baby Mama, Julie & Julia, The Adjustment Bureau, Salt, The Dictator, Annie and The Book of Henry.

Additionally, MacCallum worked in television, contributing to the series Tribeca, The Sopranos, Smash, Black Box, The Blacklist and the limited series The Night Of.

MacCallum also worked on the Broadway’s smash Hamilton.

He died June 12, 2017, in Los Angeles. He was 70.
