Nanrose Buchman has spent twenty-five years in the television and film industries as a costume supervisor and designer. She has been a member of the Television Academy since 1987, and in addition to her service as a governor has served on the Awards Committee. She holds dual memberships in both the Motion Picture Costumers Union and Costume Designers Guild, and serves on the budget committee of the latter. Her career includes hour and half-hour single-camera format series, half-hour multi-camera sitcoms and movies of the week. In 1987 she received a Primetime Emmy Award for the series Fame, and a nomination for the pilot of the series Homefront. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Buchman spent several years working in regional theater in Seattle and Anchorage. She holds a B.F.A. in Costume Design from Carnegie Mellon University and for the last few years has served on its West Coast Drama Alumni Board.

Mary Rose enjoyed over thirty-five years as a costume designer for numerous feature films, long-form and series television. Rose also co-produced several educational programs, including a special on the history of Hollywood Costume Designers for NHK, Japan. Raised in post-WWII Japan, Rose attended Kyoritu-Gakuen, a private girls' school in Tokyo, and holds B.A. in Fine Arts from San Francisco State University. Her involvement with the Television Academy began in the early1970s. Rose was elected governor of the Costume Design & Supervision Peer Group in 1998, 2000 and again in 2004. In 2002 she was elected to the Academy’s Executive Committee, and also served as the first chair of the ATAS Cares Committee. A member of the Costume Designers Guild, Local 892, Rose has served as an executive officer since1992. In 2006 Rose received the CDG’s first Distinguished Service Award and in October 2007 was elected president of the Costume Designers Guild.
